I suppose you have read about the law that liquor cannot be sold to sailors or soldiers. It suits me alright. It went into effect at 5 o'clock yesterday. Some of the fellows here are sure raving, but it don't do know good. The sailors are the worst of the two about booze. You can see 3 sailors to one soldier drunk. But I don't see so many drunks anymore because the saloon keepers out here won't sell a drunk man any booze.

Tell dad I suppose he will be getting ready to go to the river fishing. I suppose it is about time now.

How is the fruit trees coming? I suppose you folks will have plenty of goodies next winter. I haven't seen any oranges on trees yet, but they is a fellow that comes around with oranges & sells them 1 & 2 doz for 15 cents so you see they have plenty of them out here. But other things cost high, but the say they don't make anything by it.

Mamma How old did you feel Friday? I suppose you worked in your garden & be sure & take care of my rose bush.

Your own son
Kinley Cisney
