Letter dated May 31, 1917 Page 2

Dad, you haven't once told me about how you & Mrs. Collins are coming Ha, Ha. Or has John Stofford beat you out. I sure see lots of odd fellows out here & they sure where the pins, but not any better than you do.

Well I just received the Coleridge Blade HOMETOWN WEEKLY NEWSPAPER as I was writing. This is the first time yet. It was sure great to see all the happenings & to see old Kerloo still in the game.

Have you heard from Herb's COUSIN FROM CALIFORNIA yet? I wrote him a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard nor saw anything of him yet. Maybe he don't care to write or see me. Makes no difference to me.

I am going to write Pearl Cook tonite, I suppose she'll be surprise to hear from me.

What is Aunt Lib's address? Haven't heard from any of them yet.

How much did the Ladies Cemetery Society take in? I suppose you folks took in the Home Talent Play. Was it good? What did they have for amusement May 30?

I haven't received them things from Dess, SISTER ODESSA but we get our mail twice a day, probably I get it tonite.

Well folks there's not much more I can think of to write, but will write more next.

Oh yes. Sign Pay Roll and will receive our pay about the 5th.

Well write soon, lots of love & best regards to all.

Your own son
Kinley

P. S. Tell Ernie to write.
