      I have been to church a few times out as a fellow can't get off as often as we used to. I suppose we will miss it more than ever.

      Talk about the fellows having girls, they haven't got anything on me. I have an awfully cute one over at Oakland. But of course I don't think of them as I used to think of certains ones back home. But never the less, the one back home hasn't forgotten me.

      Well, how is every body? I am fine & dandy & weigh about 163 lbs now. What do you think of that?

      I have not wrote to Pearl quite yet, but intend to today. Well folks, must close & mail this today. Will write soon and many thanks for the presents. I am
