Dear Folks,

Your letter reach here yesterday. I sure was glad to get it too. Believe me I am always looking for your letters. They are the only ones I really look for, but I get lots of others tho'.

Well how is everybody back home. I am fine & dandy. Would of wrote last nite only my head & ears bothered me, but feel fine today.

I was across the Bay to Neptune Beach Sunday. Sure had a dandy time, took a swim in the Ocean. Them big waves sure did duck me. A kid from Neligh Nebr. is here & him & I went over together. I didn't get to take only 3 pictures, & took a few yesterday here at camp. I'll send them home as quick as I get them finished.

What did you think of my letters? Now read all of them if you want to. There is some pretty good ones.

Sid's BROTHER sent me that tie but we can't wear any civilian clothes, only shoes for dress here. So you see it wouldn't me any good here but I can wear it when I get back.

I doubt we will ever leave here. They are starting to drill on the big guns again so you see it is uncertain what we will do.

How did Earls Brother barley turn out?

Do you remember Bill Mitchell saying he wouldn't have to go? Ha, ha. That shows a fellow never wants to be to sure.

Say have they started a tobacco barrel DONATIONS OF CIGARETTES AND TOBACCO for the soldiers at the front back there yet? They have one in every cigar store out here, but I would bet that according to the population Coleridge would beat Frisco SAN FRANCISCO all to - - - -.

I don't think Ernie BROTHER will ever pass as they are exam us soldiers, not us yet, but other camps for their lungs & heart. So some of us might be rejected yet. But I hope I don't as I want to help Old Uncle settle this little scrap as well as any one. And believe me it won't take long when we do cut loose.

It sure does show what some of them fellows are back home. Dr. Rogers specially. He had ought to come with us.

There was a Holland ship come in Friday and I saw some of the sailors down town Sun. They were a neat bunch alright & as I crossed the bay I saw a couple of nice old battleships. Oregon was one of them. Sure was a whopper.

No I have not heard from Charley D. yet or even Pearl C. hasn't wrote.

Well folks I must close & get ready for Signal drill. Write soon.

Your Son with love to all
Kinley
