Dear Folks,

Your letter came yesterday & also Inez's SISTER cake. Sure was glad to get them.

Well how is every one back there? I am fine & dandy, but expect another shot in the arm tomorrow & if I do it will mean a few days sore arm. But at that it don't amount to much.

There sure must be some yellow guys back there. I heard that Ralph Sherer bawled when he was drafted, the big coward. A fellow wants to go at it with a smile as we are doing this to protect our own Mothers & Dad's as well as our selves. And don't you folks worry we will all come back soon. Of course we might see France, but there is no sign we will all see the front, as I don't think this will last much longer.

Dad sure will make the big Mon - this fall. Gee but I would like to be there & help earn them old dollars.

On our way to the Neptune Beach Sunday I saw lots of big gardens & they sure were dandies too. Nice big cabbage and lettuce.

You know folks it only seems like spring to me here. And the time passes awfully fast too.

What for time did the kids have at the show? If I am here the 1st of Sept. I intend to take in the Ringling Bros. Circus here.

I saw a nice movie novel the other night. The name was Souls Adrift & believe me it was a dandy. If U can get the book be sure & do it because you sure would like the story.

No you can bet Dess SISTER never forgets you folks. She mentions you in all her letters. Poor old kid. How is she making it since living on the farm. I bet she sure makes lots of money.

I would like to be there & swiped some of them pears you were canning. That is a fruit we get cheap out here. They bring them to the camp & sell them at 10 cents a dozen & nice ones too.

I haven't received my housewife SEWING KIT yet but suppose it will be coming in tomorrow. You know I will like it cause anything from home is always the best to me.

I got a letter from Pearl SISTER-IN-LAW yesterday too & it sure was a dandy letter. She also sent a couple of photo. I am sending it so you can read it too.

Herb's COUSIN FROM CALIFORNIA have not been down yet & I have not heard from them for a long time either. But they might come Sunday.

Well folks, not much to write about, so will close.

With love to all
Your Son
Kinney ONLY HIS MOM EVER CALLED HIM THAT
