At the Y-M-C-A so tho't I would drop you a few lines. How is every one? I am fine & dandy. Just took a cold shower bath & feel light as a fox. I take one twice a week & then my feet get dirty. You know what a hard time I used to have Ha, Ha. But believe me this Government soap can take the scarf off.

      I took out my $10,000 life insurance today & it costs me $6.50 per month & 5 per mon for my Liberty Bond & I have yet $4.50 of my extra $15 to allot. I intend to have it sent to you. & it could go to paying Sid.

      Say, did you give my suit to Sid? I intended to have but didn't know whether I told you to or not. The kids just as well have my stuff as they will be too small for me when I get back. I wear an 8 shoes, so you see I am spreading out all over the USA. Ha, Ha.

      I was to another movie show in the Fort last nite & it sure was a dandy. Does the movie run yet back there?

      How is the Scarlet Fever & other sickness coming?

      Has Ernie left yet? I understand the rest of the drafted fellows had to be in by the 1st of Dec.

      Say but it was good to get ahold of that Hearth & Home you had in the cake. I read all the stories & read the Bloomfield News to a finish too. My Coleridge Blade came today & I sure gave it a good going over too.

      I was down at look over the Worlds Fair Grounds Sunday. The Oregon Building sure is some site. They sure did use some big trees in it. They have moved & torn down most of the other building. It sure must have been a site at the Fair. But now it is all Soldiers' camps & most Militia & us Regulars don't hang around them very much.
