Dear Folks & Family,

      Hello every body. How is every one. I am fine & dandy, having a fine time & well satisfied. I had a fine time on the trip, wasn't sick at all, but seen several that was. But I never missed a meal & we had fine eats too.

      What is every one doing back there?

      We got our mail today. I never got your package a Fort Scott but expect it sometime. Yours & Earl's BROTHER letter sure got a warm welcome. Also got the candy & tobacco Earls sent too.

      Has Ernie BROTHER left yet?

      That was a dandy letter Charley COUSIN FROM INDIANA wrote & the picture sure look natural a Dad, who is that with him?

      Say Mother I want you to knit me some wool soxes if you have time.

      I have a lot of funny jokes to tell you when I get back.

      Them young girls sure must be wanting to get married awful bad.

      I also got the Blade LOCAL WEEKLY NEWSPAPER today. It don't amount to much, but I gave it a good going over.

      Well I have written about all I can so will close. Tell everybody hello & give them my address.

      Now don't worry about me as I am feeling fine & intend to take good care of myself too.

      Well I must close.
