Somewhere in France
Jan 11, 1918

Dear Folks & Sisters & Bros,

Everything goes fine here. I am well & having a fine time as usual.

How is everyone at home? I suppose you have plenty of snow. We have our share here but nothing like it used to be in good old Nebr.

Did you get my letter I wrote from New Jersey? I have been looking for an answer.

I suppose the sales are starting back there now.

Charley W. My other Grandfather, Charles Willey is bunking with me & we sure have great times talking over the past together. He sure is a dandy kid, & is a friend through & through.

What is everyone doing back there? We are censored so heavily that I cannot write all I would like to, but nevertheless I'll have a lot to tell you when I return.

It has been raining & snowing most all the time since we have been here, but we fine barracks & plenty of good eats so we do not suffer in the least.

We had our measurements taken for hip boots & over shoes, so you see we always have plenty of good warm clothing.

Does Earl BROTHER get the home place next year? I sure will be glad when I get back & get a chance at the farm.

I want you folks & all the kids to write & tell me all the news, & a little home made candy would come in handy too.

Well as this is all I can think of now will close with love to all.

Your son & Bro.
Kinley

Wishing you all the good health & wishes
