Letter dated February 4, 1918
France
Feb. 4th 1918

Dear Folks & kids,

I received several letters from you folks in the last couple of days & they sure got a warm welcome.

How is everyone at home? I am fine & dandy, like this life & place better every day.

Tell Earl Brother I received their presents & can't thank them enough. Everything you folks have sent sure did come in handy.

I was to town yesterday. Saw many great sites which I can't write but I can tell you when I get home. The French people sure did treat us fine, but could not get any good smoking.

I am sending you & Dad a small present apiece, each a handkerchief in this letter. I would like to send more, but this is about all we are allowed to send.

Well, news is scarce, but you can write more. Write often.

Your son & Bro
Kinley
