France Apr. 12, 1918 Dear Folks.
I received a letter yesterday from you dated Febr. 21st. I was late in getting. In fact I have gotten later ones but just the same I was might glad to get it.   How is everyone back there? This leaves me feeling fine & dandy.   I just received the Coleridge Blade   Sure glad to read Joe Mc's   Mother, you ask what we done for pastime, we play ball, football, & have plenty other amusements or share it mostly put in the Y. M. C. A. reading & writing.   What do you people do for pleasure back there? I want you to have the best of time because you can't be young only once. & when I come back I want to find you as well & happy as you used to be. That homecoming sure will be great, Eh?   How do you like your new neighbors? I sure am glad you have new ones on the East, as I didn't fancy those others. That town will be full of retires farmers “pretty, won't it”.   I was going to write Aunt Maggie but have forgotten her address. Please send it the next time you write & also tell Mike   Is Smiley still there yet & when does he intend to go? I think if I was in his boots I would enlist, but make it a truck driver or C. A. C.   Mother I don't want you to send any more smoking as I have about quit, but you can send cakes & candies as often as you please as the come in awfully handy. I have not received the stationary or last tobacco yet but expect any time.   I never hear from any of the boys at Calif. But some of the other boys do. I don't care much as I have thoroughly found out that bunch that stayed back there Charley was the only real guy except little Bill Fleener.   I written about all the news, so will close. Give my best regards to all the people there, and my sincere regards to Mrs. W. L. Linkhart.
With Love to You & all
Private Kinley J. Cisney
