On the Front
May 23, 1918

Dear Dad & Mother,

As the time has for me to write again & so will try & do so. How is everyone at home? I am feeling fine & dandy, enjoying some of the good old hot days we used to have over there. But many cool evenings, too. And everything else is going the best. Charley W. My other Grandfather is also writing home today or rather is going to.

Have you received any of my letters from here yet? I have written five already. Intend to write twice a week as long as I possibly can.

Well, yesterday was another year for me, but I do not feel a bit older than last year. Altho' Although this is a lot different than where I was last year. Say after tomorrow someone else adds another year also and I am hoping you are in the best of health, & happy as you were when I was there. I would liked awfully well to of sent you the presents but will keep them until my chance comes to send them.

I or we have not received mail only once since being here. But we have plenty back at the Head Quarters which we expect any time.

Mother, you said that Joe Brother had my cow. What kind of cow is she & what cow? Did Sis ever sell my colt? Tell him to sell her as there is no use of him paying interest on that money.

When you folks write be sure & tell me where all the horses are & everything else.

Well there is nothing much to write only to let you know that I am well & hope this finds you both well and may God Bless you & keep you well.

With Love
Your Son
Kinley
