At the Front
May 26, 1918

Dear Dad & Mother.

Your letter of April 22nd & sure was glad to hear from you. I wrote you the same day I received yours but had it mailed before I got this, so I will try & answer this one.

We are having the best of weather & feeling fine & dandy & hope this finds you people the same.

I tho't thought of you folks all day yesterday & would like to of been there & helped you celebrate your birthday. We will celebrate ours together next year. That sure will some time, believe me.

I also heard from Joe's, Mike's, Sid's & Odessa Brothers and Sister. Will write them later. Tell Sid I got the money order OK & will try to use it in the best way.

Mother, I wish I could tell you more of our branch of the service & life here, but I don't suppose it would be allowed so will save it all to tell you when I get back. But so far everything has gone fine & dandy & ever one fine great.

I don't want you folks to worry so much. I will write as often as I can. It might not be as much, but it let you know how I am & that I have not & never will forget you two old people at home.

It seems to me that Carl Korf made a mistake by going home. Ha, Ha. But it serves him right. I am proud to say nothing like that will ever happen to me.

Well I guess this is about all for this time. Hoping to hear from you soon. I will close. May God Bless you & keep you.

Your Son with Love
