Dear Dad & Mother:

I will try and write a few lines today as I have plenty of time. How is everyone at home? This leaves me feeling fine & dandy as usual & hope it finds you the same.

Have you heard from Ernie Brother lately? If he is out of the hospital I suppose he is enjoying plenty of shots in the arm. Ha, Ha. But he will get used to that & like it, as I got got to liking them at FriscoSan Francisco .

Where did you spend the Fourth & how did you enjoy yourselves? I didn't have so good a time as last year, but was satisfied though. But next year I'll make up for all I lost, you can bet.

By the way, how do the crops look over there? They look great here. Wheat & rye, dead ripe. I think lots of it will go down before it is cut. The oats look good. It makes a fellow kind of homesick when one sees them cutting the grain. & this country over here reminds one quite a lot of back there. But to look at it, it has Lawn Ridge skinned a country block, but I don't think the soil is fertile now.

Do you ever hear from Herb's Cousin from California very often? I wrote them once, but have no answer. I don't know why but maybe I had the wrong address. Will try again sometime.

When you write tell me about all the things concerning our farm & horses & cattle, as I want to know how things are.

Well I will close for this time. So take good care of yourselves.

Your Son
With Love
Kinley
