Dear Dad & Mother;

      Your 2 letters of June 13 & 16th came a few days (ago), but have been so busy & moving about quite a bit here lately that I couldn't get any letters mailed.

      How is everyone at home? This leaves me feeling great, & we sure are making the Huns Germans feel it too. Probable Probably noticed that by the papers.

      This life here is great, & my opinion is that this war won't last very long either. But I guess everyone will be glad when that time comes. But old Kaiser will have to omit a lot of things then.

      I was sure sorry to hear of Earnest Brother still being in the hospital. Poor kid. He is having his share of hard luck. I hope he gets a discharge, as this is no place here for a fellow who's health is no better than his. But of course he probable has different ideas. I intend to write him in a few days also.

      Oh yes, I got the pictures Mike Brother sent. Everyone looks natural, but I couldn't find Dad in the picture. What was the reason? Isn't he in the guards any more?

      Remember, if you have any more spare pictures send them over as I sure like to look at the images of the old home & friends.

      What do Earl's Brother call their new girl? I certainly was surprised to hear of her appearance. But then this is war time & one can not tell what will happen. Ha Ha.

      So Sids Brother have a car. I sure was glad to hear of them getting one, as I believe they deserve it if anyone does.

      Mother, you ask about the little girl. Yes, she is small & has dark hair. But my opinion is sure great & I believe you will be awfully fond of her. The way she wrote last time was that she was going down to see you this summer & I know you will enjoy her company.

      Well Mother, I have written about all I can think of as I can't tell you of the interesting things I have seen over but I will tell you all about it when I get back. Next Christmas Ha Ha.

      Well I guess I had better close & get this mail(ed), so here's hoping this finds you both well & happy.

Your son
With Love to all
