Letter dated September 17, 1918
France
Sept 17, 1918

Dear Folks;

      I suppose you folks think I have forgotten you but I have been pretty busy & we have been unable to mail our letters. But things are Jake now so will try & do better from now on.

      How is everyone at home? This leaves me & the rest of he boys feeling fine & dandy. And everything going great as you probable Probably have read in the papers.

      Has any of the other boys left from there lately? I understood that they had raised the draft age so I suppose a lot of the fellows we get in now. I don't think many of them will see France as this thing will not last last very much longer.

      I suppose the schools have started over there by now. Who is teaching our schools close to the farm?

      What kind of weather are you having over there? We are having fine weather here, except a little rain last nite & this morning. But don't think it will rain any more.

      Oh say, did Babe His girlfriend back home come to visit you? The last letter I received from her she said she was going down the next wk. But I have not had any mail for so long I don't know what it looks like. But we expect it any time now.

      Well I have written about all I can think of so will close for this time. So take good care of yourselves & don't worry so much.

Your Son
With Love
Kinley
