Letter dated November 7, 1918

Nov. 7, 1918

Dear Folks;

      Your letter of Oct 2nd was received last nite and I sure was glad to get it. It was the first for about 2 months so you see it got a warm welcome.

      This leaves me feeling fine & dandy, hoping it finds you all the same.

      The pictures were fine, but it seems like there is an awful change in two old people to me. Mike Brother sure looks good, not the skinning fellow that I used to know. I am glad you got to go & visit him at camp. I suppose he is on his way over here by now.

      Say Mother, you will have to tell me who's who among the little kids. I know them from Stephen Nephew down to GraceNiece, but am not sure of the others so be sure and tell me in the next letter.

      Things sure look good to me in those pictures and I sure will be glad when I can be there. (It won't be long either.)

      I got a letter from Babe His girlfriend back home and she said that she had been awfully busy so maybe that is the reason she has not been to see you.

      I sure was glad to hear of Inez's Sister little girl. I suppose that means another Red Cross Nurse for Uncle Sam instead of a soldier. Ha Ha.

      Gee, I didn't realize I had so many Nieces and Nephews until I saw the picture, but I sure am proud of every one of them.

      By the looks of Stephen he is as big as Ernie Brother and Rossie's Nephew giving him a close chase too.

      Well this is just a short letter to let you know I still O. K. So send all the pictures you can.

As Ever,
Your Son
With all the Love & Best Wishes
Kinley
